Squigglefly Challenge #50, SFC5012 Anything Goes with a Sentiment

Welcome to the Squigglefly Challenge Blog!

Hello everyone.  Welcome to Squigglefly for the last challenge of 2012!  Are you ready for this week's challenge? Well first let me tell you about last week's winner.  The contest last week was to use the traditional christmas colors, red and green, in your creation.  The winner in last week's challenge was Gail Scott  for creating a sweet card using Winter House on a Hill by artist Rich Davis.

The winner can contact Holly from Squigglefly at usyungs@gmail.com, for your prize.

Now, on to this week's challenge, SFC5012 Anything Goes with a Sentiment!

This week's theme is Anything Goes with a Sentiment.  So, just create a card in any theme but please include a sentiment on your card.  You can use one of those great .99 sentiments from Squigglefly or you can make up your own!  Squigglefly has lots of images that come with fun matching sayings or you can use a stamped saying or printed embellishment as your sentiment.

Let's start with some examples made by the Holley Hobbyists:

Pat Martin crafted this beautiful card using artist Elizabeta Kushner's stamp called Christmas Candle.  She added a wonderful Peace on Earth sentiment.  This stamp is one from our brand new artist!  Be sure and check out Elizabeta's new stamps.

Jan Marshall  created a wonderful card with a beautiful saying "Make your holidays sparkle & shine!"   What a gorgeous border she added.  The pretty stamp is from artist Fawn Palmer and is called "A Tinsel Angel."  The saying comes with the stamp and it also includes an additional saying, "May the simple joys of the season be yours."  Just $3.00 for the wonderful image and two sentiments!

Elizabeth Hart designed a wonderful holiday themed card using an adorable holiday image from artist Fawn Palmer.  This image is called A Sleepy Gift  and comes with the Fairy Merry Christmas sentiment!  I just love how her present looks like wrapping paper, and complete with a tiny elf hat on the sentiment.

Charlene Mitchell designed this pretty Christmas card. She's using a Merry Christmas sentiment from artist Jess Holland and that adorable Polar Bear is from a wonderful set of stamps called Polar Pack by Brian Lock.  That set has five different bear designs in it!  I love the printed paper she used as her blue background.  Gorgeous.

Lisa Minkler crafted this humorous winter card using A Winter Owl Too by artist Fawn Palmer.  I LOVE the way she put the owl in this card.  LOL, makes me think of those days that I am upside down.  HA!  TOO cute Lisa!!  I love the sentiment "Winter is a real hoot!"  The sentiment is included when you buy the stamp.

Tammy Hair created this heart warming Christmas theme card using a great stamp from artist Cheryl Alger called Better Not Pout Santa.  Just perfect for the holiday season.  I love her stripes and her wonderful coloring.

And lastly, I (Holley Barnhart from Holley's Blog)  used a great image from artist Fawn Palmer.  This adorable little girl is from A New Teddy Bear.  The image comes with the adorable sentiment shown.
I hope these cards have inspired you to make a card to play along this week.  You are always welcome to play no matter what images you use, but to be eligible for the prize, please use at least one stamp from Squigglefly!

We realize that many people don't have blogs, but instead participate in our challenges using on-line galleries. We love that you are helping us spread the word about Squigglefly! However, many of the galleries require passwords and not all of us at Squigglefly belong to every gallery or group. To help us make sure we don't miss your artwork, we are asking that if you do use an online gallery that you leave us a comment on the challenge post. That way we'll be sure to have a member of the Squigglefly team who is a member of that gallery (SCS, CDAC, PCP, etc) can validate your entry.

1.) If you up-load your creation to any on-line photo galleries, please use SFC5012 for your keywords when loading your creation photo there. 1b) please leave a comment on the challenge blog post so that someone from Squigglefly can validate your entry for the prize.

2) You don't *have* to include a Squigglefly image on your creation, but in order to qualify for the prize you will need to use one! You can also combine SF images with non-SF images to qualify! Don't have one? There are several FREEBIES you can grab from the Squigglefly store, hop on over there. Those images will qualify you for the prize.

3) You have one week to complete the challenge and it will close Sunday evening. The winner will be announced at the same time the new challenge post comes up...so be sure to check back EVERY Monday to see if you are a winner!

4) Please leave a direct link to your entry in the comments below. The linking tool works sporadically and we don't want to miss your project! (No back-linking please.)
